The short version: we collect what we need to give you the guides and the reminders, and nothing to sell on.

Draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page is written to be honest and readable, and it matches how the product actually works — but it needs a legal review, and the company details below need filling in, before Good Anywhere takes real payments.

Who we are

Good Anywhere publishes travel guides. We are not a travel agency: we don't handle bookings or payments for your trip, and we don't act as an intermediary between you and any hotel, airline or booking platform. When you book something, you book it directly with them, under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.

Contact for anything on this page: hello@goodanywhere.com.

What we collect

When you make an account. Your name and email address, and the password you choose, stored hashed — we can't read it.

When you use the site. The trips and guides you save, the notes you add to them, and whether you chose to make any of them public.

When you tell us your dates. Your travel dates and, if you give them, your flights. This exists for one reason: so the reminders arrive timed to your actual trip rather than as a generic sequence. You can delete them at any point and the reminders stop.

When you subscribe. Payment is handled by a payment provider. They hold your card details; we don't. We keep a record of which plan you're on and whether it's active.

Basic usage data. Which pages get opened, so we know which guides are worth expanding.

What we do with it

Give you access to what you paid for. Send the reminders you asked for. Answer you when you write to us. Keep the subscription working. And, in aggregate, decide which destination to build next.

What we don’t do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with hotels, airlines or booking platforms. We take no commission on anything you book, so we have no reason to pass your plans to anyone who'd like to sell to you.

Email

Two different things, controlled separately. Trip reminders are part of the product and follow the dates you gave us — delete the dates and they stop. The newsletter is optional and every one of them has an unsubscribe link that works.

Cookies

The ones that keep you logged in and remember your preferences, and basic analytics to see which pages are used. No advertising cookies and no third-party tracking for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to hello@goodanywhere.com and we'll do it — we aim for a week, and we're required to do it within a month. Deleting your account removes your saved trips, your notes and your dates.

How long we keep things

Your account data for as long as you have an account, plus a short grace period in case you come back. Travel dates until the trip is over or you delete them. Billing records for as long as tax law requires us to.

Changes

If we change something that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect rather than quietly editing this page.
